All pic were taken with EOS 550D,belong to the resort... since my camera was not available.. :)

Taking a long Exposure shoot is something intersting. Do remember to switch off the stabilizer ( IS, VR or SSS) when taking long exposure shoot with tripod for best result.

All shoot were taken with the Kit Lens for Canon 550D, all at 18mm.

April is our Enviromental Month of Awareness, for the Marriott Internationals. This charity & fun run is organize in junction with the Miri City Day, and the City Council effort to reduce plastic usage.

The flag off was officiate by our Miri City Mayor, Yg Bhg. Mr. Lawrence Lai Yew Son. This event was attended by some of the city council members, the Marriott Internationals Regional team, lead by Mr. Raj Menon, the Area Vice President and the another area team leaders...

Indeed, it's a fun afternoon & doing charity too!

Spirit To Serve Our Community Project - Rh. Unji, Kuala Tatau, Bintulu, 28.03.2010

It was a warm sunny Sunday morning on the 28th March 2010, Palm Sunday ~ The beginning of the Holy Week. A bit disappointed since I missed the Sunday Mass. Anyway, we do have a task to do, a task in the name of charity.

This time, our first Spirit To Serve Our Community project for the year 2010 is to help the needy of the victims of the burned "Rumah Panjai" or Long House at Rumah Unju, Kuala Tatau, Bintulu. This is the first ever project outside Miri division, and this project is championed by Madam Ramala.

We start our almost 280km journey from Miri to the long house around 0830hrs. There are six of us, Madam Rita, our Director Of Human Resources, Catherine & Ramala from Housekeeping department, Jamalludin & Amanda from the Public Relation, and of course, me myself on behalf of my department, the Front Office.

I hope my picture can tell you the story how was the situation as we reached there...

It was a warm cloudy evening of 27th March 2010, and we have a photo shooting session for the Earth Hour at Miri Marriott Resort & Spa..Thanks to PR Manager, Lian & Associate Director Of Sales & Marketing, Shirley for the kind approval to do the photo shooting..hehehe...it's not easy to have the access in Marriott property for photo shootings.

As usual, the "Kambingssss" ~ Karlos, Nainet, Gandut & Weina is the team of the night.

I have no idea what to shoot when we arrive there. Nainet gear was awesome, with the UWA [ Ultra Wide Angel ] lense, of course the dream Full Frame DSLR, Nikon D700 [ but of course, I dream of the Full Frame Sony DSLR A850 or A900]

"Never Say Goodbye" ... A wonderful song from Jon Bon Jovi...I guess this is the best to describe on the farewell of Miss Vathsala, or known as "Miss V", our dynamic Director Of Sales & Marketing [ a.k.a DOSM ]

Ms. V has been here with the Miri Marriott Resort & Spa team since the opening, that is somewhere in late 2004. She played an important role during the transformation of the Miri Marriott Resort & Spa from the previous Royal Rihga Hotel.

She has done a great job here in Miri, and leave us with the firm & strong sales foundation for its team.

Ahaks! It's meeting time...But this time we did it differently ~ out of the property. It's fun! But yet, I still fall asleep during the video presentation.

The meeting was held at the beautiful Borneo Tropical Adventure Resort, somewhere 40KM from Miri city. The place is cool, the food is nice and I really love the enviroment.

Hahaha! It seem quite some time I didn't have the chance to update my blog. Been away to Sabah since Christmas, extending my stay here again and again..hmmm...perhaps I love being here :)

2009 ~ A challenging year with full of memories...2010 is ahead. It's a year that will determine the next course of my journey. A journey of life.

The thing that for sure I seek for 2010 is stability in life, balance of life, work, career & love. Indeed some says this year will be a challenging year again, especially in finical strength. But let us look forward to strive the best we can in there area.

And most of all...Let it be a blessed year for all! Let the love lives among us.... :)

I was invited by Florence [thanks ya!] for a simple photoshooting during a function held here in Miri.It's a colourful ceremony with beautiful people who fills the night.

Though I'm so called "Kayan Sesat", I'm proud to be one of the Orang Ulu too!

Most of the photos were taken with my SAL 75300 lense and it's not easy to take photo in low light... :( That's why some of the photo you see a bit soft. I'm using the 28mm f/2.8 lense too.

Really wish I had the 70200 f/2.8 lense for this type of photo shooting... :)

This shot was taken from the ParkCity Everly Hotel's Bintulu car park ~ just after the Staff Annual Dinner. Shots were taken with my SAL 75-300mm, most of the photos were taken at focal length of 210mm ~ 300mm, speed of 1/125 ~ 1/200, and f/7.1 ~ f9...

Hehehehe...For the 2nd consecutive year, I felt honored to be invited again by my good friend for the Staff Annual Dinner 2009, this time it is a Sport Night theme.

Unique theme, it is quite simple shall I say, but enjoyable night. It is a great feeling to meet again all my old colleagues from front office department, and also from various department.

It's 30th October 2009 ~ Home sweet home..It's good to back again after almost 6 months didnt come back to Bintulu.Thanks for your companion, Ekin, for the two hours journey from Miri ~ Really didnt feel it's a long period [ since i use to drive alone ]. It.s good to see & spend my time with my families & friends too...

As usual, my trusty sniper a.k.a A300 with it's lenses will always be with me all the time..

Though it is a short holiday [ just for 4 days ], i really enjoy the time. Some photos to share, that I took here in Bintulu... :)

Hehehe..this is my 02nd time attending the workshop. Just to gain for info & to get first hand answers from the speaker

It's a short workshop; really enjoy it...and I have the chance to play with the awesome Sony Alpha A900 DSLR, the dream lense SAL70200 G f/2.8 and CZ lense...huhuhuhu...Oh A900, Oh G lense, where are thou? :)
